Liz Waetzig is a Partner of Change Matrix, LLC, a minority- and women-owned small business that provides processes, tools, support, and content expertise for individuals, organizations and systems as they define, create, measure, and sustain change. She works in mental health, child welfare, cultural and linguistic competence, conflict engagement, change management, youth engagement and systems collaboration. Liz founded the Collaboration LAB, in partnership with Sound Options Group, LLC and The Georgetown Center for Child and Human Development and is dedicated to increasing the capacity of individuals and organizations to collaborate.
Liz also brings broad experience in all phases of program design and implementation including: strategic planning with small, large, and diverse stakeholder groups, conflict engagement training and mediation among individuals and teams, coaching for system leaders, and training in all levels of interaction from individual negotiation to large group facilitation. In addition to work around collaborative systems, Liz co-authored a monograph on a public health approach to children's mental health. She is currently working with states and communities to implement a public health framework in children's mental health. Liz received her B.A. in History and Political Studies from the Whitworth University in Spokane WA and her JD from the Duke University School of Law.
