Taking Flight is a Youth Advisory Council located in Maryland and funded by federal grants. Our members are comprised of youth advocates ranging in ages from late teens to mid-twenties. We are a diverse group with different backgrounds (mental health, substance use, foster care, LGBTQIA+, juvenile justice, etc) who are using our experiences to offer peer support and promote positive changes in youth-serving systems.
