Technical Assistance (TA)
The Youth MOVE National Peer Center provides limited ‘no cost to you’ national technical assistance (TA) through grant 1H79SM082658-01 from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
What is Technical Assistance (TA)?
TA is the process in which our Youth MOVE National Peer Center can provide specialized support to organizations, groups, and/or individuals with the goal of creating and implementing recovery-oriented youth programming! Helping you find the answers to your questions is what is at the heart of TA. This is a limited ‘no-cost to you’ way to get some support on topics such as, but not limited to: positive youth development, building empowerment and leadership skills, youth engagement & recruitment, youth program startup & sustainability, youth peer support, & more!
Examples of TA Requests:
- I am requesting tips on how to recruit and retain youth in rural areas.
- How do I create a youth group in my community to encourage and uplift youth voices in my county and across the state?
- I need support on youth recruitment, marketing, and event planning.
- I am a founder of a small non-profit supporting youth in my urban community. I’m reaching out for your insight and advice on growing a youth-focused non-profit.
- I am a high school junior and I have an interest in behavioral health, and I am always seeking opportunities to become more involved. Do you have any training opportunities or a certification process?
- I am a graduate student and am interested in a leadership academy. Do you have anything like that?
- I am a school administrator and want to provide a workshop around the foundations of youth engagement for our staff.
If you have a support request, we invite you to fill out the form below! Once submitted, a Youth MOVE Team member will reach out to you to learn more about how we can help support you!
