Hello Fellow Youth Advocates,

2020 has been a year of finding resiliency and we know that that youth and young adults are resiliency-builders. Despite the challenges we have faced this year, we know that youth all across the nation have found ways to create better communities and a better world. Now is the time to celebrate those accomplishments and celebrate the ways in which they innovate and problem-solve through systems, giving us hope with their voices of experience.

We’ve all had to flex this year in order to build bridges and find new ways to engage youth. Despite these challenges, we have seen the phenomenal work that youth, youth-supporting adults, and organizations are doing in these stressful times, so we want to honor that through our Rockstar Awards.

Youth MOVE National presents the Rockstar Awards to people and organizations who have made an outstanding contribution toward the improvement of youth or youth-serving systems—like mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare.

This award ceremony was meant to be an in-person event held at a large training conference this past June. We’ve had to move that online this year, and have created a RAVE (Rockstar Awards Virtual Edition). As with all of the pivots we’ve experienced this year, we are excited about what a great opportunity a virtual award show offers us to reach a larger audience and create a quality recording of the event.

We have been looking through nominations over the last month and have the winners of the 2020 RAVE selected. We are excited to present these awards and honor amazing work happening across the nation for youth.

This is where you come in.

Through December 18th, we will be hosting our annual fundraising campaign that will go directly towards sponsoring opportunities for the RAVE winners including professional development packages, useful resources to continue their work, and even technology if we hit our ultimate stretch goal.

We are looking to our network to help sponsor RAVE and the work that these incredible youth are doing in the field of mental health and youth-serving systems. With your donation, you will be aiding their professional journey as well as spreading the mission that the voice and experience of youth is powerful and necessary to create systems that work.
